Just look at this dress! I love it! I wore it the wedding of one of my close friends. I was a bridesmaid. Up to that point, I had never been one before.

I just adore that plum colour. I think it is such a wonderful colour of depth and intrigue, and thus it is definitely one of my favourites. Dark, bright green, plum, deep red, blue-grey and lavender are some of my most treasured palettes. Oh, and of course, black.

I have always loved these colours. Perhaps it stems from when I was a little girl and a little friend of mine gave me a wooden medallion necklace that was hand-painted with similar colours. It was a very precious gift to me.

Back to that dress, I have it hanging in my cupboard. Sometimes I just put it on for the evening, and prance around my apartment in it. I like to prance in fancy dresses. It’s mine, I can do with it what I like.

I recently acquired a jersey of that colour. In fact, I’m wearing it right now. It’s so soft and comfy, not that it has anything to do with the colour. Still, wearing plum does make me feel extra lovely.
