A few days ago I learnt that my close and beautiful friend, Jana, has passed away. It was such a shock.

My heart is drenched in sadness, and I don’t have much else to say about any of this. 

I don’t really know why I am even writing about this. I guess I just want to honour her somehow. I want the world to know that she’s gone and I want the world to stop and that’s the only thing I want right now.

I think that’s all that I can manage for today.

Jana, a woman whose depth was unknown, whose love was open. Her heart was pure, her thoughts were kind and her gestures sweet. She was my mystery and my kindred. A wonderful miracle.
